Free Site Launch (freesitelaunch.com) is run by EC Ventures, a sole proprietorship based in the United States. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions? Email support@freesitelaunch.com.

The short version

• We collect what you send us in a website request, plus basic statistics about visits.
• We use your details to reply about your request. We don’t send newsletters.
• We never sell your details or share them with anyone for their own use.
• You can ask us to see, correct or delete your details at any time.

What we collect

When you send a website request, we collect what you type into the form: your first name, email address, business name, what your business does, your current website (if you add one), what you need, the plan you picked, anything else you tell us, and your permission to email you about the request.

When you visit the site, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages you view, roughly where you are, your device and browser, and how you found us. It uses cookies to do this. We may also count visits with a statistics tool that runs on our own website.

To keep the site safe, our hosting provider handles your IP address to deliver pages and block bots. Our spam protection also uses your IP address for a short time to limit repeated form submissions, and checks how long the form took to fill in. We don’t save either with your request.

How we use it

• To review your request and get back to you. We review every request and reach out within 2 business days.
• To talk with you about designing and hosting your site, if you decide to go ahead.
• To see how people use the site, so we can improve it.
• To protect the site and the form from spam and abuse.

We only email you about your request. If you joined our launch list, we’ll also let you know when we open. We don’t send newsletters or marketing emails.

Who else handles your data

We never sell your details or share them with anyone for their own use. A few services handle data for us so the site can run:

• Rocket.net hosts the site and stores website requests. Cloudflare sits in front of the site to deliver pages and block bots. It sets a short-lived cookie called __cf_bm to tell people apart from bots.
• Our email provider handles the emails we exchange with you.
• Google Analytics, run by Google, receives the visit statistics described above and sets its own cookies.

We may also share information if the law requires us to.

Cookies

• Google Analytics cookies (names starting with _ga) help us count visits. They’re on when you first visit. You can turn them off by choosing Decline in the cookie notice, or at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site.
• Cloudflare’s __cf_bm cookie protects the site from bots. It’s needed for the site to work and expires after about 30 minutes.
• Our fsl_ga cookie remembers whether you chose OK or Decline in the cookie notice. It lasts 1 year.

The site doesn’t use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your request while we’re talking with you. If you don’t become a client and we haven’t heard from you for 12 months, we delete your request. If you become a client, we keep your details while we work together, and afterwards for as long as the law requires.

Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• show you the details we hold about you
• correct them
• delete them
• stop emailing you

Email support@freesitelaunch.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under local privacy law. Tell us where you’re writing from and we’ll help.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn’t meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their details.

Keeping your details safe

Website requests are stored in a private part of our website that only we can sign in to.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
